Kathryn (Kathie) has been marketing for almost 15 years. While she was an electrical engineer at Xerox Corporation in Webster, NY, she had the opportunity to participate in a customer visit project. She met with Xerox customers, gathered their feedback on products they were using, and integrated that information into new product specifications. There was no turning back. “I love the customer interface—understanding their challenges and goals and working with them to bring about their dreams.”
In 2000, Kathie moved to San Francisco, California where she began marketing for folks who learned of her Xerox marketing experience. KAS Marketing was born.
KAS Marketing specializes in Marketing Strategy and Communications. They collaborate on the plan, the focus, the messages, and the methods to reach and engage the target audiences and then measure the outcome of each activity for continuous improvement. Kathryn’s education in technology and human resources plus ten years of experience in the global corporate technology world–designing electrical products, managing teams of people, and managing customer requirements, competitive product evaluations, product marketing, product launches–are the platform on which her marketing skills developed. Now in the eighth year of managing her own consulting business, Kathryn stays abreast of the newest marketing trends through coursework, seminars, books and articles, along with memberships in several consulting and marketing communities. She thus stays alert to new and appropriate ways to improve her clients’ businesses. Continuous marketing is critical to business success–eliminating the roller coaster effect on client flow and finances. With a well-planned, calendarized, and documented marketing strategy that includes action items, business owners have more time to focus on their core business.
